Zen is a fusion of Indian Mahayana-Buddhism and Chinese Daoism.

Focusing on the dantian (hara), the energy-centre in the lower belly, is one of the powerful techniques in Zen meditation to quieten the busy mind and to gently activate the qi in the system. The most popular method of Zen however is simply observing the movements of the mind without interfering.

One`s inherent Buddha-nature (the true nature of mind), Sunyata (“emptiness“ of all things) and Bodhicitta ( all-encompassing compassion) serve as the conceptual background to Zen meditation.
The profound connection to nature helps to concretely capture the core of Zen in the world of ever-changing things.
